She said no, he said yes,
He pushed her down, she held her breath.

Now she spends her nights fear.
Trying to be strong, trying to hold back the tears.

Left hurt, left in pain,
But she's the only one she blames.

Even though he did this, she'll never say a word.
Not a single one spoken, not a single one heard.

She could scream at the top of her voice, yet no one will care.
And now she's left with these many scars to bear.

And when she closes her eyes at night, it's his face that she will see.
She can never forget that image, and spends her life in regret.

Yet she will never feel loved again, she will always feel unclean,
She will never forget that night, it will never be unseen.
One of my story poems, this one is about a girl who has sadly been raped. And how she will never forget that event.
I'm going to enter it into :iconheart-of-poetry: Prompt 15 the theme is Forget.
I know this poem is showing a side in which the woman can not get any help, which I know isn't the case, thankfully there are a lot of people who can help, also in my opinion and the opinion of the law any man who does this to a woman should be locked up.
My inpiration isn't from personal experience, I actually wanted to enter this prompt but didn't know what to write, and then I seen a picture and that is where I got the idea.

I've known a couple of people who have been rape victims, male and female.
It is a very hard subject to write about.
I certainly can't write from the victim's perspective, those I have written on this theme have all been from the point of view of a comforting friend, or a spirit of dark retribution.
This is a good poem, on a most tragic theme.

I've never met any victims in real life but I read a lot and I read once that a woman who had been raped felt alone and she couldn't tell anyone, so I based it one that.
It was very hard and I thought long and hard about if I was going to upload or not.

I've always had a thing for weird people... And they all have stories for how they ended up weird.

I think you did a very good job with it.

All of my friends... except one... which makes him weird in a different way...
Though I was, more specifically, referring to the victims I know. They were weird, and I liked them for it... It's only later that you learn the stories behind their weirdness.
